I am trying to join the Men Who Knit group on Facebook and my request has been pending for a couple of days. Is there anyone in this group that could accept my request to join?
I've posted a notice here before and want to remind everyone that Spirit Day is this Thursday, October 15th. I encourage all members to wear purple that day as a sign to any LGBTQ young person that may see them that they are loved and supported as they make their way through life and any difficulties they face. Thank you.
Hey guys... I haven't knitted in a while but I want to make something now that winter is approaching. I'm not super advanced. I can do ribbing and knit on the round and such. I would like to make something for myself for once because everything I've ever made has been for other people. My hair is kinda shaggy and long and curly at the moment so I need something that can hold that in but still look good. Any suggestions on a semi-easy pattern for a beanie I can try??
I finished the September edition of the 12 months/12 socks KAL yesterday evening. They are superb! The "Alegria" yarn from Manos del Uruguay is marvelous and very delightful to work with, having excellent stitch definition and very uniform color and thickness consistency. I highly recommend it.
I hope to add photos at a later time...if the dratted system ever lets me. Otherwise, you can see them on my Ravelry projects page.
Join us on November 19-22, 2015, for the Southeast Men’s Knitting Retreat in beautiful Black Mountain, North Carolina. This year’s retreat will be held at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly [ www.blueridgeassembly.org ] which offers hotel-style rooms, beautiful mountain views, and is just a short drive to historic downtown Asheville. Specialized classes and outings will again be offered during the retreat. Depending on room type, the cost per person is around $300 and includes meals.
This is my first entry on your web page. I have just joined.
This shawl was hand manipulated on my SK 360 knitmaster. It took forever to do, but just wanted to prove to myself that I could do it.
Also glad to have found other male knitters, lol.
I have just discovered and tried circular needles, and find the much better than ordinary straight ones,
Does any one have any tips that will help me when using them, (I will not be knitting circular with them)
Does anyone have any experience with "Addi" kniting needles.
