First day of Spring

Hi, everybody. It's the first day of Spring and I hope you all have a great one. I had planned to have the latest pair of socks done yesterday but will settle for today or, at the latest, tomorrow.

Plain knit, two at a time, top down socks with Into the Whirled Pakokku yarn, color way "Inara". Gorgeous colors and I think it represents the Bear color way very well. And since I consider myself a Bear, it's just perfect.

That will take care of the March socks, then to cast on the April pair. [Why - oh, why - did I let them talk me into joining the 12 month/12 socks challenge?]

Photos to follow.

I try to knit a pair of socks every month but don't feel obligated. You will have a good suppy at the end of the year that will last you for a long time.

Thanks, Ron. I really mean it when I say I don't know why I agreed to do this. However, I will try to fulfill my commitment. If not, that's just the way it will be.

Thanks. I saw socks in this yarn on a blog site I visit and had to have it. Luckily, Loopy Ewe had some in stock when I visited there in July 2013 when traveling to the Rocky Mountain Men's Knitting Retreat. I found it great to work with and hope to try other color ways by them.

Good Job Joe. Well take one pair at a time. I can make a pair in two weeks, but I am very busy with designs. I am still going to try to make a pair every two months!!!!!

Thank you for the compliments, Andy. I've started the April socks on dpns and will knit one at a time to see if I can accomplish a pair faster than 6 weeks. Of course, I get distracted by books and such so really have to set up a schedule for reading and knitting times. Or go back to knitting as I read, since these are plain socks without patterning.

Thank you very much. When I saw this yarn on a blogsite, I knew I had to do my best to get some for myself. Luckily, I could find it.
