Octopus 2

Hi guys, I just wanted to share with you a little project I finished today. It's an octopus I made using a Hansi Singh pattern. I gotta say I'm kinda smitten with him!

This is the second octopus that I've made. The first one got taken by my husband for his train layout
(it's sitting atop the water tower and terrorizing the citizens of the little town) and I wanted one for myself.

He was made on US 1 needles using Kroy Sock FX yarn along with an unknown variegated purple yarn for the
underside. This pattern is a little involved but worth it if you like cephalopods or, like me, are generally a fan of amigurumi.

Well, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and I wish you a happy upcoming New Year!

Such a cute little fella! The stitching looks bigger than US 1. Perhaps it's just the perspective. I really think he is wonderful. He gave me my chuckle of the day! Thanks. I love your sense of fun.

Thanks, Mark. Yes I should have posed him next to something for size reference!

Thanks for the link that shows the octopus parts in your hand. It is much smaller than the photos would suggest. Well done!

What fun. I've missed seeing your animals. You must have a whole zoo by now if you kept them all. Any chance of a group picture? JRob

Thanks! I'll have to see what pieces I have around for a group photo. They often end up finding other homes, so I'm not sure how many are still living here with me.

He is adorable. Hope you had a great Holiday and grand New Year.

Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Thanks! I just love her designs. This is probably my favorite, though.
