Meeting others

I had the joy of meeting one of the members on this website this Sunday.
He just happened to be in my neck of the woods and asked to meet with me. I was very flattered about it.
He was a very creative man and very kind and warm to talk to. We must have talked about knitting(him sharing one of his patterns with me) and my travels to the Netherlands last year.
One of the reasons I love this site is meeting quality men of great creativity, really brightens my day.

That's just great, David. One of the joys of going to the retreats is meeting fellows you only know on-line [and lots of other chaps, of course]. Several members have asked about meeting up whenever they come through my part of Wyoming but, unfortunately, things haven't come together for that to happen. Someday, though, it will.

Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

That's the reason I love this site as well. I have also been contacted by a member of this site and the Ravelry sites. He lives just about 45 minutes from me here in central Florida. Sadly, he was hit with the flu or a cold after his retreat in the Carolinas. So, we will hook up after Thanksgiving. It's so comforting to know that there are so many people on here that care so much for everyone else. This is exactly what the Internet is for.
