1898 hat

My sister-in-law steered me to this hat on ravelry. The pattern is free. It is definitely the warmest hat I have ever worn - it covers the whole ear and hugs your head. Easy and fast knit. I used Paton's Classic Wool.

Hi Ron,
The hat looks great. It's just what I have been looking for. I will also be making a couple of these for next winter. I read over the pattern and it doesn't look to difficult. The ear flaps are what attracted me to it. They are thick too so that the wind will be blocked. I went to that Web site located on the Ravelry page you provided and found some other terrific patterns as well. All free.
Thanks for the idea!
