Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all the fellows here at MWK. I hope you all have a great day and can spend time with good friends and/or family.

As for being thankful: I'm taking a cue from the homework a friend's daughters had to complete and making a list of some knitting related things I'm grateful about -

Back!!

Well - I'm back.... Hello Gents.

Cannot believe that I moved from Sydney to a much cooler climate (Seattle) and have not picked up my needles in TWO years! :(

Well - I'm back into after I saw the new Rowan Autumn Knits pattern "Ilam". Just started!

Catnip Advice and Follow Up

Howdy Gentlemen!
I am making a new snake-like tube that I want to fill with either catnip, or something else that has been soaked in catnip. Have any of you made something like this? If so, what did you use to stuff it and how did you integrate the catnip into it? I tried some dried catnip last year and the toy was not as well liked as those bought at the pet store. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

West's Chadwick - Almost Done

Good Morning All,

Life has been busy and I have not spent the time knitting I would have liked but I've been slowing completing West's Chadwick. I hope to be done by Thanksgiving. I just completed the first row of the final section "No. 3" - only 23 rows left to go. I hope everyone is having a great fall and gets some quality time with their sticks over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Regards, JRob

Josh Bennett West Village Cardigan

Have dusted off the needles after a prolonged hiatus and have just finished a cardi by Josh Bennett from Rowan website. Left out intarsia-seemed a bit youngish for me.

New Sweater

Just finished a sweater for my friend, Miguel. It is a cardigan that was knit in the round with 9 steek stitches that I simply cut open without securing. Because it is Jamieson and Smith Shetland wool, I do this without worrying. I used 3.25mm needles and the colour is "mustard" (the third picture is closest to the real colour).

Some plain toe-ups

The fiddler in our oldtime group likes to wear as many colors as possible, so when I saw this yarn I decided she should have a pair of socks knit from it. So now she does. :)
