Just finished a sweater for my friend, Miguel. It is a cardigan that was knit in the round with 9 steek stitches that I simply cut open without securing. Because it is Jamieson and Smith Shetland wool, I do this without worrying. I used 3.25mm needles and the colour is "mustard" (the third picture is closest to the real colour).
somebody designed and knitted these
The fiddler in our oldtime group likes to wear as many colors as possible, so when I saw this yarn I decided she should have a pair of socks knit from it. So now she does. :)
Just a little Something..... :-)
Thanks for the feedback, guys! So here's how things went down:
Something Interesting! http://westknits.com/index.php/2013/11/swants-tutorial/
I am so glad I have something done. This feels good and also a sigh of relief! Now on to the next one.
I read a couple of articles (one of them was from an old "Threads" magazine that I have had for ages) on how to construct gloves and gave them a shot. I used Patons sock yarn and 2.75mm needles. They are nice and warm and for the most part fit nicely. However, on my next pair I will make the little finger first and then knit another half inch before making the other three fingers.
Finally finished these socks for my sister. They will go perfect with her work clothes as she wears nurse's scrubs. They are a little more aqua-green than the pics. She already saw one when I finished it and loved it - fit perfect.
