Knitting seems to always creep in...

...and it's a very good thing!!!

So, at 12 noon, I'm meeting up with some friends from Ravelry over at Gritty's in Portland, Maine ('can't drink, though, 'cause I have to be at work an hour and a half later)

The girl who's name I drew for the gift swap knows me all too well. She already knows I'm the one that drew her, so, she's already expecting something knit.

I'm going to bring my camera -- posting pictures later on.

Non-knitting stuff...

THIS good Scot is making shortbreads for Christmas and bringing them to the festivities at work (we're 24-7-365, so even regular scheduled workers get to take part) -- patting them into the pan to the music of "Messiah" (have you ever heard 'O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings To Zion' played by an English Horn?) -- have to blast my classical music anyway to cover up Eminem being blasted in the hallway by the painter guy. It's a good thing shortbreads don't rise.

I'll be back on tomorrow, but, for everyone who doesn't log in again until the bells of Hogmanay ring out, have a great Christmas!

THE knitting creeps in
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over Tree and room
on silent needles
and then casts off.
