Hello, fellow knitters. I am starting a new lace project and I have no idea really how to interpret the pattern. There is one portion of a row that requires 4 yarn overs in succession. Is there supposed to be a knit stitch in between the yarn overs?
I love reading this process of figuring it out and getting help from others. Kinda like I enjoy the sounds of musicians taking their art to the woodshed.
It will create a nice big hole in the pattern and the k1, p1, k1 p1 on the following will basically out line the hole. I know it's wierd when you first do it but trust the pattern it will work out.
nope. the 4 yarn overs are really in succession. when you come to the same spot in the next row, you will probably do 1 k 1 p 1 k 1 p, or some other alternating stitch to keep them distinct, and holding in the pattern.
So I am really just wrapping the yarn around the needle?
