no time

Knitting will now finally be taking up the spare time I never had for the last few weeks.

Between working, fishing hunting and cutting wood for winter, there hasn't really been a moment for it.

Fishing has filled one freezer and deer and elk the other. My family all hunts at once and we butcher, wrap and share to make sure everyone has meat. This year was especially good. Unfortunately I am the only one who fishes. I get no help with the gutting, fileting, canning and smoking of the fish. This year too was very bountiful for salmon, mostly sockeye and kokanee, rainbow trout, dolly vardens and perch.

I have my plans to hit a few yarn stores today. Happily doing nothing but knitting for a few days. I can't wait!

Knitting shall provide a well earned rest. Coming from a family who did subsistance hunting and fishing, I realize how tiring that can be. Enjoy your projects. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
