It's a little short but...

I finished my first project which was the scarf. I started last Sunday and finished this Sunday. I also managed to get a lot done at drill when we were not litteraly doing anything at all on the training schedule. I didn't care what other fellow soldiers thought and when they saw what I was doing they were actually intrigued and impressed. My next project which I just started will be a steering wheel cover.

It never ceases to be

It never ceases to be amazing that such interesting and varied fabrics can be created with such simple things as yarn and knitting needles. You did a very nice job on this.

If it's wool, you could probably make it longer with a bit of steam blocking, or even just by wetting it and stretching it out some to dry. If it's not all wool, it would certainly make a nice shorter scarf.

Congrats on a job well done!

Congrats on a job well done! I'm a true EZ fan in the fact that I love me some garter stitch. Kudos to you for your confidence while knitting amongst your fellow soldiers. My knitting goes with me everywhere these days. Thank you for the job you're doing in defending us! It's an honor to have you in our group as one of our fellow knitters.
