Attached is a Tubular 2 x 2 cast on I REALLY Like....see what you think !
thanks for sharing! I'm always looking around for new cast ons for projects. When I started I was taught the E cast on and never told there were other ways to do it. I honestly didn't know until I joined this group that there were other ways to cast on and cast off.
When I think back to what I knew before I found MWK and what I know now. I'm sooooo glad I found you guys.

Thank you for the instructons. I appreciate it as I recall when we met how nice it looked as a cast on.
What is a tubular 2x2 cast on, and when would it be used?
A tubular cast on is a detail found on the highest-quality haute couture knitting made in the world. Basically, on a rib, the stitching flows in transition from knits to purls and purls to knits around the cast-on edge.
It looks like someone poured liquid stitches on the edge. You cannot describe it any simpler than that.
I used it on the bottom of the Harrison sweater I recently completed...but usually it's the sharp-eyed knitters who spot it and silently approve.

Thank you for being so observant and so thoughtful to share this technique. I try to search out new techniques that are easier, better looking or elegant in execution. This is by far the easiest tubular cast on I have ever tried, and so damn beautiful. And can be done with no fear of loosing your place or stitch.
I started a new hooded sweater today with a wool/linen blend, and it worked like a charm, Huzzaahh!
Thank you Steve. You are the best, no matter what anyone says about you!
