One little square

Raymiew's picture

I'm so slow I could only get one square done for the blanket. I chose the Candle Flame pattern out of A Treasury of Knitting Patterns. I've always been inspired by Dylan Thomas' Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night and picked a pattern I thought would serve as a symbol of what that poem commands.

I really like this pattern.

I really like this pattern. The color of yarn shows off the detail beautifully. I think this would also make a great afgan or scarf pattern. Great work!

What a beautiful pattern

What a beautiful pattern that is, and a beautiful thought to go with it.

Beautiful knitting, Raymie.

Beautiful knitting, Raymie. The sentiments and caring you knit into the square are the main thing, overall. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Your square is beautiful, I too, was only able to complete one square. I tried photographing it but the dark navy color just didn't do well.

What a wonderful inspiration. I've done the walking tour of the Village in NYC of Thomas' haunts and stays. Great job.

one square is perfect - the important thing is that you contribute...and that you remember to take time to write a note or card to Jason as well. Get it in the mail (remember, I need these by May 30, 2009) so that I can get to assembling!!!
