well, the theft of my current wip's and attendant sticks and string is best considered an opportunity.  tho' the hat was (i'm quoting Madame Fonz, a venerable drag queen) "fab'lus".  the baby will get a blanket done in a foamy minty green chenille with crocheted flowers randomly distributed on it.  and i'm thinking i'll do a matching hat.   hats are always good.  i feel sorry for the junky that stole my tackle 'cause there's no way he'll get any money at the hock shop for that stuff.  anyways, thanks for the commisseration and stuff.  be good.

The baby blanket sounds

The baby blanket sounds great!  I have a new nephew or niece coming at the beginning of 2007, so I need to start working on baby projects.  I recently ran across a really cute baby hat and booties with tiny crocheted flowers attached, but I don't recall who the designer was.  What yarn are you using for the blanket?

i saw this really softy

i saw this really softy foamy light green chenille at Michael's or HobbyLobby so that's what i'll be using.  i think the pattern is in an old issue of a Better Homes and Gardens Knit It!  but i'm not sure.....it only had a few pink (i hate the colour pink) flowers on it so considering that patterns are only suggestions i'll fix that little problem.  it was in a garter stitch but i'm thinking i'll do a seed stitch or moss stitch....depends on how the tension swatches come out.  Cool  uh-oh.  i think i forsee a possible addiction to these emoticon thingies......
