This could be you...

if you make Fiber Trends Clog pattern and have not yet felted them. Or if you don't check your gauge LOL. The post from a couple of weeks ago go me inspired to get a pair made for myself. I have made many pairs of these but never any for myself so I figured it was time. Used 1 strand of Brown Sheep Top of the Lamb and one strand of a handpaint wool for the tops and 2 strands of BSTotL in Aubergine for the soles.

Once I finished the outer sole and was ready to connect them I remembered a trick that others might like to use. It's soooooooo much easier than fighting with 2 circs when you get to the toe curve. When you have the outer sole knit the directions tell you to use a second needle to pick up sts from the already knit sole and do a 3 needle bind off. My modification of this is to not bother picking up the sts from the 1st sole but to do it all at once. Hold the clog in your left hand along with the needle with the outer sole. You are at the heel end of the clog on the needle so make sure that you have the heel of the clog nearest the working needles. If you look at the 1st row of sts you will see smile, frown, smile, frown etc or u upside down u etc. Following? With the right needle tip pick up a smile and place it on the left needle, it is untwisted. Because on st is mounted normal and the other "not normal" , K2Tog TBL (Knit 2 together through the back loops). Once you have 2 sts on the right needle, bind on stitch off. Continue from the pick up all the way around the clog. Make sure that you catch each smile or you will have extra sts when you get to the end...if it's only 1 fudge and k3tog tbl. I should document this better with pics next time. If anyone wants to try this and cannot make sense of it, give me a shout.

Beautiful knitting, Shawn.

Beautiful knitting, Shawn. Great combination of colors. Still, I hate to felt things. Awful tempting, though, when I see such a nice pair of clogs. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
