After all my joy and celebration of completing my short row heel turn and picking up and concealing all my wrapped stitches without any assistance... I tried on my sock!
It doesn't fit my Size 13 feet.
My knitting guru had advised that she usually drops two needle sizes when knitting socks (even with specified sock yarn) and just adjusts for the new guage so that she gets a very dense, long lasting sock fabric. I think I took her advise a bit too far as in addition to the smaller needle size, I knitted the fabric very tightly. Clearly, much tighter than I had for the guage swatch!
Fortunately, it fits my Most Beloved's Size 9-1/2 like it was custom fit to his foot and not mine!
He just said to me, "See? There is sunshine behind the cloud!!"
