AKA Bubble Wrap

Randy is right. The Oceans Waves scarf is a lot of fun to knit. It is so whimsical.

It's hard to get a photo to do it justice. It has a texture that is a lot like bubble wrap. In the colorway that I chose it reminds me of toad skin.

Thanks for the post on that pattern, Randy. I can foresee that I will knit at least a couple of them. I had been looking for a pattern to knit for my God daughter. This is perfect, only for her I will use a light variegation that centers around blues.

I wanted to post this now even though the scarf is only in the beginning stages. My partner and I are only a few days away from moving to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. That is a bit of a gamble on our part bcause of the hard times. Nevertheless we are ready for a change of pace.

During the course of the move and for a time after that I will not have a means to upload pics from my camera.

I have so very much enjoyed the community here. I intend to at least stay up on the MWK news at a local library. The knitting circle here is the best that I have found on the net, thanks to all the savy contributors!

There are so many awesome knitters on MWK whom have been a huge wellspring of inspiration to me.

I am grateful for you all.

Thank you, Albert. :-)

The yarn that I am using is Lorna's Laces Swirl DK, in the colorway called camouflage. That is a merino wool and silk blend, in seperate strands.

I would love to see this pattern done with the same yarn but in the colorway called Aslan. Those are not the colors that I wear or I would have used that. I may have to make one in Aslan for a friend, at some point, for no real other reason but that I believe it would be truly beautiful.

You let go of it, it let go of you.

What is that yarn? It looks great in this pattern. Also like the shamrocks for St. Paddy's. I hope you stick around with us after you move, and may it be a positive thing for you and yours!
