Susan's Afghan

Bear Hands's picture

I made this afghan for my friend Susan who was diagnosed with cancer. My challenge with this afghan was my inability to count. I spent as much time un-knitting as knitting.

Tom, I got the pattern from

Tom,

I got the pattern from Leisure Arts: Big Book of Quick Knit Afghans. The name of the afghan is named Congenial. The afghan is only knit and purl stitches. It was the counting of the stitches that creates the diagonals. That is why I kept having problems, one mistake and everything was off.
