I made this afghan for my friend Susan who was diagnosed with cancer. My challenge with this afghan was my inability to count. I spent as much time un-knitting as knitting.
Beautiful afgahan! The color is gorgeous. Best wishes to your friend Susan for a quick and complete recovery.
Wow, that's beautiful. Great job!
Beautiful!!! You have more patience than I do!!!
Man enough to knit, Strong enough to purl!!!... Does a bear knit in the woods???
I'm not sure, I've never tried. I'll get back with you!
Very nice!! I love knitted afghans and your's looks beautiful.
It was worth all the effort!
...a very handsome afghan...
Beautiful. What pattern did you use? And what stitches make up the diagonals?
I got the pattern from Leisure Arts: Big Book of Quick Knit Afghans. The name of the afghan is named Congenial. The afghan is only knit and purl stitches. It was the counting of the stitches that creates the diagonals. That is why I kept having problems, one mistake and everything was off.
It's a pretty colour and it looks toasty cosy - just right for this weather.
