Sweater in Progress

My primary project lately has been a raglan sweater for myself from this Japanese Vogue pattern book. Although the pattern is written for seamed construction and that's how I'm doing it (thought it would be a good learning experience), it could be adapted fairly easily to seamless construction. I already had to adapt it to my size, since the pattern is written for one size only - skinny.

I'm currently working on the front panel, which I decided to do last to give me a break at the end from pure stockinette. The front has a cabled rib center panel - simple enough to get the hang of pretty quickly, but it breaks up the work nicely. This photo is of one repeat of the front panel chart. I did another one-and-a-half repeats overnight. A little bit past 4 repeats and I will be casting off underarm stitches and starting the raglan decreases. There will be 7 repeats when I've finished.

Then I get to seam everything up and knit on a collar. I'm not sure that I'll get it done before Christmas, but since it's for me, it doesn't really matter.

You had no trouble with the Japanese characters while following the instructions? I ask because I noticed recently that in my wool shot in Istanbul there are pattern books in Turkish. My Turkish is pretty crap, so I slipped through the pictures, drooled at the images :) ...and decided to stock up on books from home. ... I'm only a beginner... so am making it easy for myself... or so i hope...
I like that sweater, the Japanese one ... it reminds me of an indian styled shirt that I bought a few years ago. it looks comfortable.

Looks great, hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of finishing it. What's the name of the pattern? I'd like to look it up on Ravelry.
