Inspired by Terry Pratchett - the 'Great A'Tuin' shawl.
those of you who frequent MMarioKKnits will have seen parts of this already - but heck - might as well talk about it here, as well. It will be an oval shawl, with an option for armholes so you can wrap the star turtles flippes around.

I'm working the prototype in 'deep Woods" shimmer from knitpicks on US 6 needles. Though I do NOT reccomend variagation for this project, deep woods is giving me a great tortoiseshell look. Pictures over at M2K2. I'm going to atttach a little design sketch and the current pattern (through row 92)

yeah - I know .....but I've

yeah - I know .....but I've knit through row 72 and there are people over at M2K2 who are hard on my heels. So it shouldn't be long before have pictures.

MMario - ambiguity is cultivated, it doesn't happen in a vacuum!

They ride on the turtle.

They ride on the turtle. The four largest scutes of the shell each have an elephant. You can see their feet on page 4 of the pattern - the stippled portion of the elephant chart at the bottem of the page.
