Men's Spring Knitting Retreat

QueerJoe's picture

I just posted about 40 pictures to a web site for guys to get a little sense about the Men's Spring Knitting Retreat, although my partner kept thinking, "I'm more glad I wasn't there with Joe" because he thought it looked so incredibly boring.

Ted and I are just about to begin planning for the next one...that's a lot of counting down the days. :)

I'm in love with the orangey

I'm in love with the orangey shawl displayed by Danny (Show Off for the MGMs, about 2/3 way down the page)! Where can I get a copy of the pattern?

I'll private message you

I'll private message you this information as well, in case you don't check back here, but Danny publishes/sells his patterns on-online at:

http://www.doknitting.com/patterns/patterns.htm

He only has one shawl pattern available which is the shawl he's showing in the picture.

His work is truly amazing...everyone absolutely loved both Danny and his partner.

Thanks a lot for the pics, Joe. Brings back some wonderful memories. But in looking at the pics I could not help thinking "Jeez, I hadn't realised I was getting so old!" :-) Sigh.

Thanks for all of the photos. How did this retreat get organized? I'm wondering if there could be regional ones during different times of the year.

It WAS a great time. And for so many reasons, and for many of us, words don't come easily to describe how awesome it was, except that the people who attended made it that way. It truly was majical. I can't wait for the next one.

Sadly, by the time we decided that we could actually go, there was already a waiting list. DEFINATELY want to go. At this point, thinking of organizing one here in the Midwest.

Joe, thanks for posting

Joe, thanks for posting these photos, I was so pleased to see them. Looks like you had a lot of fun as well as an informative weekend. Perhaps next year I'll fill myself with Xanax to overcome the tyranny of distance.
