Howdy: We have three standard poodles (soon to be four, and yes, cowboys do own big poodles) and I was wondering if anyone had, or knew of a pattern that had a poodle(s).
what kind of clip do you give them? A relative had a standard apricot poodle when I was young - he was just clipped to the same length over the whole body - nothing fancy.
There are two poodle graphs here

Doilydude-I was just wondering were you trying to knit clothes for the dogs, a stuffed toy of a poodle or wanted charts to incorporate in another project? Alan Dart had a great stuffed poodle which you can usually find on eBay. Good luck with your search!!!
Here is a link for a vintage knitted poodle pattern:
Would love to see pics of your dogs. I had a miniature poodle when I was growing up,he was my best friend.
I am amazed by the lack of poodle items I found. It's too bad you don't have access to a stash of 1950's/1960's knitting magazines/books, I'd be willing to bet you'd find loads of things. There is a pattern here http://digknittydesigns.blogspot.com/ for a Standard Poodle washcloth ($2US download fee), Free Vintage Knitting has a poodle afghan here http://www.freevintageknitting.com/afghans/french-poodles-knitted-afghan-pattern.html (free pattern), and that's about all I know of.
Hi: There are some excellent books for dog patterns. I haven't knit my dog anything because he is wicked furry and would probably just eat anything I put him in...so I don't have any great patterns from experience, but the patterns in books look cute.
