baby hat

SO I WAS GOING TO KNIT MY COUSIN FOUR HATS FOR THE BABY THAT SHE IS EXPECTING. WELL TURNS OUT THAT I DON'T HAVE THE NEEDLES THAT I NEED SO I HAVE TO CROCHET IT NOW. SO MAD BECAUSE I ONLY HAVE A WEEK TO MAKE THEM AND I KNIT A WHOLE LOT FASTER THAN I CROCHET. :(

What yarn and needles do you

What yarn and needles do you currently have? I'm sure you can find a pattern for a baby hat for the particular set of needles you already own. Lots of free stuff out there on the net.

What?? You mean to say, you

What?? You mean to say, you DON'T have all the needles in every size?? Oh, dear -- they're going to take away your membership card!

Actually, you only need every size in circular needles. Get yourself a set of those, a long length is good -- perhaps about 32-40". You can do almost ALL of your work with those, even fingers on gloves!

It's nice to have some dp and maybe straights, but I almost never use those.

I find almost all of my needles in second-hand shops. SOMEone has to look after those precious artifacts once the original owner no longer needs them!

Why push yourself? Finish

Why push yourself? Finish one or two and give them with a nice card promising the others to follow.
