Yes, some day....just start

Yes, some day....just start off with hand-spindle. ;-p But it's a steep road downhill from there. And don't say I didn't warn you. :-p

Stunning, a Kromski

Stunning, a Kromski Polonaise is on my (very very) future wishlist. Are you new to spinning or have you been at it for some time? Either way, what an exciting acquisition!

I'm new to wheel spinning,

I'm new to wheel spinning, but I've been spindling for about 3-4 months now. If you go through my blog posts here on MWK, you'll see some of my spindle spun yarns.

Thanks! But that's all what my Point-and-shoot could take up. I was at a crossroad on deciding whether I wanted to get a wheel or a DSLR.....you can see the result. :-p

Which Kromski have you got?

Mine is the Symphony. When

Mine is the Symphony. When I compared the prices, I figured that was good middle ground for $50 more. I wanted the Polonaise but that was too much for me. The seller said this one would last a long long time. Double drive etc...it is amazing how fast it spins. I love it!

COOl! - how do you like it?

COOl! - how do you like it?

I have been toying with the idea of a Kromski - I was looking at either the Prelude (sensibility) or the Polonaise (drool) but, as I have yet to commit, I am still spinning on a drop spindle (slow, slow, slow) trying to get yarn that is consistant at laceweight and ready for plying.

If I had the money, I would

If I had the money, I would go for the Polonaise: More ratios; variations between double-drive and using the the Scotch brake...and especially if you're looking at spinning finer yarns then the double-drive would be quicker. But then again, I'm a beginning wheel spinner, so I'm no expert (yet). :-p I can say for certain that wheel spinning is a lot more quicker than spindling because you don't have to keep stopping to wind the yarn. ;-)
