videos that show how to make socks

are there any good videos that walk you through making socks ----- I am a very visual learner and like doing things at my own pace. I am looking to progress into the world of making socks and I am looking for a video that will walk me through the steps. I know a class would probably be the best but unfortunately I have a crazy schedule.
thank you all

Like you, I am a very visual

Like you, I am a very visual learner and I found the free videos on the website that Celowin mentions. My problem was turning the heel and I literally sat at my computer and kept replaying the video while I knit along with it. What I like about the site is that it has video instruction for both continental and english knitters which was great in my instance because I have a habit of jumping back and forth between the two styles.

Best of luck with your project!
Ron

Knitting Korner with Nenah

Knitting Korner with Nenah Galati Step-by-Step demonstrations. It's not free, but it did the trick for me. She has a whole series of "how to knit socks" videos/DVDs. I have the DVD entitled "Sock II" which features the -how to knit two socks at the same time on two circular needles- method of making socks. I would imagine here other DVDs cover other methods. I bought my DVD at Paradise Fibers in Spokane, WA. I don't know how to link anything to a comment, so all I can recommend is a Google search.

Good luck!

Peter

I don't know of any totally

I don't know of any totally free, complete videos.

The best I could find was Knittinghelp.com, which has a video that shows working the heel of a sock. http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/advanced_techniques/ They also sell a cd that has the entire sock being worked, but it is too much for them to display free on the site. At the very least, you can watch the free part and decide if it is worth investing money for the whole project.

There are lots of dvds for sale on sock knitting, but I don't have any personal experience to recommend one over any other.
