From another knitting group - in January of '06 (or so I recall;t may have been February) - I joined a "Knit your own adventure mystery pi shawl" (KYOAMPI) -- and *finally* got it blocked out this week and photographed.

attached are before and after shots of the shawl once off the needle.

there was a "garden" them on this shawl - you could pick various lace and mix and match -- I have a "flower lace" ; lace daffodils, bumblebee lace and leaf lace.

Amazing what a little blocking will do! hahaha

Truly wonderful work. The one I did was very plain and simple, but with my handspun, so it does feel nice. I like your incorporation of the various designs; that's what EZ says -- you can put in any designs you like, it is still the same principle.

Gorgeous colour too! It doesn't matter how long anything take to get done; it's the doing that is the pleasure, right??

I cannot tell a lie (well -

I cannot tell a lie (well - I could, but it wouldn't be fair to the talented ladies who chose the designs...) Several women on the EzPI group selected the various designs (and in two of the cases designed the lace), I just chose from within the selections they offered for each section.

It's one stitch at a time, just like any other knitting.

I gotta say - I'm not sure whether you guys are good for my ego - or dangerously flattering - but I appreciate the comments. *grin*
