photo help....

I know.....I know..this is a knitting blog. But I need help taking photos of my projects to post here.

I have the digital camera, and card reader and software for my computer...what I need to know is this: what settings should I use to take pics to post here?

Obviously I don't want pic files so large they take forever to load...but I just don't know what to do.

Thanks!

I use 500 across so my grandmother can read my blog on her 640 x 480 moniter (she has to have the giant print). Since I don't want to save multiples, I use those images here as well.

Once you pick the size you should be able to play with image quality and still keep under the 100k limit.

Be careful not to overwrite the original image file.

I usually take a hig-res image, say Hat.jpg, then save a copy ar reduced resolution for the blog HatBl.jpg.

This way, you have the original file preserved if you ever need it later.

Please remember: I have a collection of needles and a history of violence

I usually save the picture

I usually save the picture for posting in a 640x480 pixel size, as a jpg file. Or if I don't do that, then I fudge the file down to about the same size.

MMario - I don't live in the 21st Century - but I sometimes play a character who does.
