Last year I discovered that chocolate (well, actually cocoa, so it
includes good chocolate with high cocoa content) is one of my two major
migraine triggers. Feh.
(But the tradeoff was that I learned that my other - beer - only applied
to cheap crappy beer. Good stouts and ales are no problem at all!)
Life is not entirely unfair. :)
How about lagers brewed under the medieval German purity laws of 1516,
like Becks and St. Pauli Girl? Of course, maybe it's not worth it to find
out, if a migraine is in the balance. I have gotten a headache from bad beer,
but never from a European beer I don't think.
My deepest condolences. Still...I'm glad you can indulge in the stouts and
I am also a huge chocolate addict, especially the dark chocolates.
M&Ms have always been a favorite of mine. I have several large bags I
keep in a secret filing cabinet drawer. When my students see me eating a
small handful, they all beg for some. I always just nod, keep chewing away,
and tell them that they are my miraculous medicine pills. For holidays and my
birthday, I always get gobs and gobs of M&Ms, so the graphic you shared
with us has truly hit home. My two favorite things, knitting and M&Ms.
Tonight, however, it was chocolate petit fours that got me through tinking
back several rows. I really do have to not watch dramatic or singing
television shows when I knit. It's so easy to lose count.
Thanks for sharing.
As a huge chocolate addict, I have to say this makes perfect sense.
However, for severe instances, I'd be getting out 75 to 90% dark
