A BIG THANK YOU TO FRANK AND BRADY FOR ALL THE WORK THAT IT TOOK TO PUT THIS EVENT TOGETHER. YOU HAVE CHANGED LIVES IN A VERY GOOD WAY!

I just got back home at 10 p.m. after a long day of travel. I had a long delay at the airport in Denver and I occupied my time by just leaning against a wall listening to some soothing music on my iPod and replaying the four wonderful days at the retreat. It was so grand to meet all the guys that have helped me so much over the past few years. There was a lot of laughter and some great food and wonderful hospitality. (Thanks Cory and Cathy).

I can't imagine spending a nicer time with a better bunch of fun guys. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and embracing my knitting...as well as all the other men, especially us newbies.

I hope you all had safe travels home.

Here are some shots of the awe-inspiring scenery that touched all of us.
There are also shots of the sheep farm...I can't remember the llama's name, but he was quite a attention grabber.
We got a hefty dose of knowledge from the owner of the farm. She was a font of information.

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the scenery.

Mark

He was insanely friendly. The owner warned us he was a bit nibbly. When he was nuzzling my face he decided to nuzzle my chin with his teeth!

Actually, Gene got the teddy bear - a most handsome bear, indeed - but Ai don't know what his bid was. Jonathan got the spinning magazine.

Too many emotions flying

Too many emotions flying around when that was announced as it was at the tail end of the retreat. Thanks for the correction. :)

Mark, In one of those

Mark,
In one of those pictures, some of the sheep appear to be wearing clothes. Was it really that cold there? Were they just recently shorn? I know you were at an elevation but it's the middle of summer. What was going on there?
Just curious, Tom
PS Great pictures. Looks like it was an awesome locale.

The blankets on the sheep

The blankets on the sheep were to keep them clean. They wear them all the time. That way when it is sheering time, less work has to be done to prepare their wool. Thanks for the compliment on the pictures.

Amazing! I would never have

Amazing! I would never have guessed that. Great idea, though, especially in that environment.

It was a fantastic time! I can't believe I haven't done these retreats in the past!!! I'll never miss it again, even if I have to cheat, beg, steal or deal with dirty spoons. :)
