Kirrmaier II Part B

JRob's picture

Good Evening All,

Thought I post the progress on my Simple Summer Tweed by Heidi Kirrmaier from Ravelry. It is a free down load. My previous post was at the completion of the V-Neck, joining the front and completing the raglans putting the sleeves on scrap yarn and beginning the torso from under the arms. From that point 18" needs to be knitted in the round. I've knitted down 13" so far - completing the cream, beige and have 2" of periwinkle completed to finish the body length as you can see-. Only 6-7" to go and I'll finish with an I-Cord bind-off (not called for in Heidi's pattern). Here a pics to show where I am at. The other shows the fabric with this yarn. I've been knitting outside by the pool after dinner this week which my wife finds amusing since its hot even though this fibre is a silk cotton blend. She threatens she is going to post a pic on this blog because she thinks its funny to see me in my bathing suit with a bunch of knitted fabric in my lap. But so far she has restrained herself.

Have a good evening! Enjoy life and get the sticks clicking.

JRob

This is looking really good

This is looking really good and can't wait to see the finished sweater - especially the i-cord bind-off. By the way, I knit by my pool as well.

two projects to finish, then

two projects to finish, then I'm gonna try this pattern. I'm not sure what an I-cord bind-off is, but I WILL find out. Great job by the way.
