Baby jacket and Iris's

AKQGuy's picture

From AKQGuyI finished up getting this little baby jacket done for my coworker's soon to be arriving first born.
From AKQGuy
It gave me an excuse to use up these button's I've been holding onto for the last few years. Perfect for a Wyoming kid, no?
From AKQGuy
I also snapped some pictures of those iris's that popped out after that little blow we had.
From AKQGuy
Some of them are still a little rough.

And our locust we planted last summer decided to give us long awaited for blooms.

And this is a little peek at my spinning project I dove back into. It's the second of my needed 4 singles for a 4ply chain plied yarn that I am thinking of calling Water Witches Garden. It's a Superwash BFL and since I've never spun this style before I have no idea what the finished yardage will be. I was shocked on the Crepe yarn to only end up with 135 yrds in the end.

Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend. I need to get cleaned up and to work myself.

That little sweater is just adorable!
You must be north of me.
Your bearded irises are later than ours. Ours have bloomed and gone some time ago.

I think it's more to do with

I think it's more to do with altitude. At over 5,000 ft spring is a little slower even if still faster than back home in Alaska.

Thanks Joe! I do think those

Thanks Joe! I do think those buttons were perfect for that jacket and am glad I still had them in the collection. I thought you would like that picture in the last post of Tucker and Smudge acting like they're in a prison having visitation time through the screen door.

I did enjoy that picture. It

I did enjoy that picture. It is always a source of wonder and delight to me how various critters seems to connect and be best buds. And some people try to say they haven't any feelings or souls.

Nice baby's jacket. :-) Are

Nice baby's jacket. :-) Are those buffalo's on the buttons? Beautiful flowers too. :-) One of the best thing I love about spring. Water Witches Garden: Cool name whether you use it or not and the color is beautiful. Would love to see what you do with it. :-)

Yes, they're made to look

Yes, they're made to look like the old buffalo nickels. Like I said, I thought they were great for a kid born in Wyoming where you can still find buffalo on a farm or in a national park.

As for the Water Witch, I am excited to see how the finished yarn comes out.
