Haven't posted anything for for a while

Nehkhasi's picture

I haven't posted anything for a while, but I finished something and it's the first thing that I actually followed a pattern to do recently. I started it before Christmas with the intention to gift it, but I wore thin and put it away and cringed every time I saw it. I felt like a criminal neglecting it. Well I finally picked it up 2 weeks ago and thought that I'd share it with the community. Not quite as accomplished as many here, but happy to be able to finally say..... "It's a wrap!"

I LOVE RED ! So thats a plus for me. I have started a sweater too. And its back is almost done. However putting off and starting again... I normally a good person for doing this too. OR I get tired of the color and rip it out and start all over again.... sigh

I'm so glad you love red,

I'm so glad you love red, because it's my favorite color! It makes me feel so good to know that I'm not alone in this. Actually, I LOVE "Bright" colors in addition to red. I know what you mean about getting tired of a color, felt that before, but hate ripping things out too! LOL Catch 22! Oh well....... :-)

Red is also my favorite

Red is also my favorite color, but I haven't as yet knit a red sweater. But still, a sweater no matter the pattern is no small accomplishment. Be proud of your work.

Nice work, Nehkhasi. And I do mean "work". I've started my first sweater and it feels like it's going to take me a month of Christmases to do it...

Thank You Tom! I look forward to seeing your first sweater. This site is so encouraging and provokes me to want to improve, especially when I see all of the intricate work that some are doing, though I won't move too quickly. I want to just relax and enjoy this thing I love with people that love it as much as I do.

I agree with Darrel. And if they are going to be friends with a hand-crafter of any sort they should know some gifts come late and to love them anyway. Great work.
