I designed and knit this cardigan in 1984 when Noro yarns "Kureyon" first came onto the market and the designs of Kaffe Fassett were wowing us all. Instead of using a gazillion yarns of many shades, as Kaffe did, I decided that this one yarn could create that rich effect in a much simpler way! This was all knit in the round; the neckline, and front opening were cut in and then enclosed in knitted on bindings. The armholes were also cut in and the sleeves were sewn in place. I played with the zig-zag and diagonal patterns to tweek the symetry a bit. Still gets alot of attention whenever I wear it!
