Has anyone bit into this pattern yet? It is in Loop-d-Loop. I am getting ready to shape the second shoulder and am plain stumped.

I just started shaping the

I just started shaping the armholes to a vest and ran into a similar dilemma. The pattern called for decreasing only on the right side...7 stitches...that just didn't make sense to me. After re-reading, and finding a forum by Googling it, I found that I decrease it by 7 stitches at the beginning of the rows on the right side, and also decreasing 7 stitches at the end of the row. Then I continue decreasing 1 stitch each end of each row. Might yours be something as simple as that? I tried to find a forum for your pattern, but couldn't. I'm a novice at this as well, so I'm sorry if I got your hopes up.

Thank you. The pattern is

Thank you. The pattern is from Teva Durham and the book is Loop-d-loop. Pg 91: Shape Right Shoulder as for front, and at same time, continue to decrease at raglan edge every 4th row 3 more times - 50 sts. Place remaining sts on holder for neck. My dilema is wondering if I am to refer to the directions for Shaping the initial Raglan (following those instructions ), or simply ignore the voices and proceed with the shaping. The piece looks a bit odd in the front and for my first adult sized sweater it feels funky doing this. Any assistance is appreciated.
