Carlito Cardigan

Olddancer's picture

Has anyone had a problem with the left lower front section. My pattern reads as follows:
SETUP 2X2 RIB (WS): K2, P2
ROW 1 (RS): P2, K2
Work even for [#] rows ending with a wrong side row

Begin following Front chart for your size here.

As far as I can tell from the picture there are not [#+] rows until you start the Diagonal Cables. Any suggestions?

I'm glad you noted this; I

I'm glad you noted this; I like the pattern a lot. If it was written by the one who's modeling it, then it makes sense that it might be a bit short; he has a stocky build. I'm definitely not stocky; I'm 6'2" and have a long back - I frequently have trouble finding shirts that are long enough for me without being tent-like as well. So it seems this is something I'll have to take into account with pretty much any sweater pattern I take on.

I don't know if it'll help

I don't know if it'll help but check out the photos of my carlito on ravelry:

I started the diagonal lines immediately after the ribbing...

My only other big comment about the pattern is that it's a bit tight and a bit short. If I were to do it again I think I'd add some length to the body (the easiest way to do that would be to increase the ribbing at the waist...)
