FO, WIP, and Personal Blogging

So, I got the baby blanket finished. This is the one that I created based on someones scarf they had a picture posted of for their mans mom. I'm calling it Four Oceans since it is the wave stitch after all. I've had a couple people who really liked it want the pattern so I'm thinking about hashing it out and posting it to ravelry for free downloading. Probably my next set off of work, but no promises since that will be my prep time for the rocky mountain retreat.

And I'm still working on the socks, but they're close to being done.

So, I read someone elses blog entry a couple weeks ago that stated that they kind of quit coming here due to it becoming more of a "personal blog" forum than a knitting one. Afraid that I was one such offender and seeing their point, I have placed a little restriction for myself. I will try to post only knitterly things here. My own personal blog is akqguy.blogspot.com should anyone want to know more about my weirdness. I will try to keep my bitches there, and only share my stitches here for my fellow fiber skanks. You know who you are...

Ah yes...that is a quandary,

Ah yes...that is a quandary, Quinton. But, in my opinion, a minor one. I've always looked upon this as a knitting "community" so feel that blogging of all types is valid. [Even though I usually stick to knitting-related subjects.] So, it is appropriate to speak of personal issues, troubles, etc. It's one of the responsibilities of being in a community. We're all here to help support each other as we go through life. Whether it be problems about knitting or life in general. Or, conversely, when we have good times to share. That said, I still think that common courtesy and respect is required. But I feel our moderator[s] - or other members - are good about enforcing that whenever someone steps over the line. Just my two cents worth. -- By the way, glad you found Four Oceans. Where was it hiding? And those socks are nice. [But I already told you that.] -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Hey--stitchin and bitchen is part of the whole thing----a totally acedemic knit site would be totally barren and BORING----please continue to be your self and share your self with us. That said, I enjoy hearing and seeing stories/pictures about your travels and your wonderful dogs.
