Completed: "Felici" Rainbow Socks

Just finished these rainbow socks, using "Felici" yarn from KnitPicks, in their "rainbow" color.
Although advertised as a fingering weight yarn, it felt a little lighter and seemed to be much thinner than the yarns that I usually use. So I used smaller needles than usual; and then spent almost twice as long as I would normally take to make socks! The most time consuming part was the 1x1 ribbing for the cuff.
They were knitted top down using two circular needles, size US 00, 92 stitches per round.

Great looking socks. I'm using 00's for my bowtie project and am finding them a challenge. I'd consider 0's for socks but, so far, 1's are the thinnest I'll use. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Yikes...92 sts in a round...yuck...I'm complaining about the ribbing on my 68 sts per round socks I'm currently working on. Yours turned out beautifully.

Mark - funny, you're intimidated by small yarn, I'm intimidated by even the *thought* of knitting an entire afghan! Actually, there's hardly any difference with smaller needles, esp. if you star with something like a 2.5 mm. I do start feeling it with 2mm (1/2 millimeter difference but there ya go)...but amazing how fast the motions adjust. I'm sure we'll see your laceweight socks up here in not time. :)

Terrifically festive socks!

Terrifically festive socks! They look like ones that could be worn in Cirque du Soleil. I have not yet gotten brave enough to attack socks with such thin yarn and tiny needles. Yours are truly beautifully done...great craftsmanship!

those look great!
I have that yarn in my stash...thought that I would double strand it so I could have thicker stripes...also thought I might knit the stripes wider by adding yarn...(I wear tall boot socks)...so I bought quite a bit of the rainbow yarn...LOL
