Yeah, it's been quite a while since I've posted... but I have been lurking nonetheless!
Decided over a 2 week winter holiday that I was going to "re-learn" crochet. So, I have been banging out crochet projects of late. However, I hear the siren song of socks beckoning! I am sure that the knitting needles will be in action again soon.
I also got fired up about lap looms that i saw demoed at a KTog I attended for the Midwest Fiber & Folk Art Fair (www.FiberandFolk.com) I got myself a set of three square looms (8", 10", 12") and have been slowly progressing on a baby blanket for the new grand-nephew. He has become the recipient of quite a few objects lately!
I gifted myself with a Glimakra Standard Countermarch Weaving Loom this Christmas. I haven't actually taken delivery yet as I am not scheduled for a weaving class until March... but soon.
2011 promises more than it's share of fiber related joy... I am already committed to being at Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival in May, Midwest Fiber & Folk Art Fair in Libertyville, IL (where I will be teaching a beginner class in Tablet Weaving) in June, Sock Summit in Portland in July, then the High Holy Rhinebeck in October!!
I trust you are all well.
