Help with projects in sizes 2T and 3T

Spicemanknit's picture

I want to knit my partner's grandchildren some sweaters this Christmas. I have look everywhere for patterns for 2T and 5T and all I can find is sizes in 2,4, 6. Is this where I actually need to measure the children's chests and arm and fudge in the 2 and 4 size. I know gauge is important. Any suggestions?

I highly recommend Mill's

I highly recommend Mill's new sweater pattern called "Positive Chi" !!!
you can find it on "Men who knit" by searching for it..or buy the pattern from his ravelry site. It goes up to age 4-5.
...I've almost finished mine and will post pics soon...

If you google child's

If you google child's placket sweater you'll see a bunch - try this link. Almost all my baby sweater projects are examples of this pattern too - check my photo album.

My favorite sweater pattern

My favorite sweater pattern is the Child's Placket Sweater. It doesn't list sizes but rather age ranges (e.g. 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 2-4 years, etc.) I've really only done the three smallest sizes though. It's an easy and very cute pattern. Good luck!!
