I'm working on a new project and would like to know what others think about it. I am working on a design for a small hand loom similar to a Weavette, but mine is adjustable from about 2" up to about 6" in 1/2" increments. It would be lasercut from acrylic and even come with a 7" lasercut needle. Although in all honesty I'm not sure how functional the needle would actually be, but if a person has other weaving needles or an afghan crochet hook then the needle is superfluous. But I'd like to know what those of you who have used these small looms think of my idea? Here's a link to some computer generated renderings of what it would look like.
I've ordered a prototype to see how it all goes and if my designing was up to snuff as far as the lasercutting and it fitting together properly. If it goes well and there's interest I'm hoping to start selling these in my Etsy shop.
