Guerilla Knitting

Gregory Patrick's picture

Found this book of patterns from the mid ‘80’s at a yard sale for a quarter. “Awesome, I’ll take it.” What a crappy book it turned out to be, though. God awful patterns written poorly, overly complex, and difficult to read. But, all is not lost. I’ve found the perfect use for that book I bought for a quarter.
I’m a firm believer in guerilla anything, especially guerilla marketing. I don’t have a whole lot of money for promotion of this new book of mine (hell, I don’t have ANY money), so I’ve ripped out the pages, scribbled an advertisement with a sharpie over them and passed them around Savannah. One went into the bathroom at Gallery Espresso, one into the mail slot at my favorite yarn shop, Wild Fibre. So, you see? Crappy knitting books can have a purpose!
By, the way, there’s a pattern in MY book that I can’t wait for you to read (hee hee).
