First Summer Trip

Off to Chattanooga today to see my Granny. Any good yarn shops there? I looked up a few but could not tell. Like to hear first hand experiences. Finishing up with school today. Room is clean and ready for fall. I may come back and do some cleaning out a couple of days this summer. Have a great summer and Happy Knitting!

Genuine Purl on South Market

Genuine Purl on South Market is a nice shop, though it has a reputation of being a bit snobby. I've never noticed that, but I think they're still flabbergasted at a man who can knit.

Unfortunately, Michelle's on Hixson Pike is closed to move up the street. The shop had mostly acrylics, but had the distinct novelty of being owned and run by a man. There's apparently a new shop opening this summer on Signal Mountain, which I'm really looking forward to, being right around the corner from me.

I just checked one of my

I just checked one of my favorite websites and found three shops in the Chattanooga area. The website is Knitmap. Here's the link to the site and the map for Chattanooga. Please if you visit them, rate them on Knitmap. It's the best way to learn more before you shop!

My sister-in-law is moving to Chatanooga later this month... and is a knitter... PLEASE, if you do locate any good fiber shops, could you please post about them? I will be headed down there this Fall and would love to visit them all!
