First Commission

kevslocum's picture

Well, it's been a little while since I've posted anything on here, things always seem to get busy around February I guess. So this is my first commissioned project: a nice hooded scarf. It was fairly simple, but making the hood was definitely interesting, and I added some pom-poms to make it a little more fun. My guard instructor is the one who wanted me to make it too, I'd always show her some of my wips and she'd always joke about how I should start making stock and sell on Etsy. Then one day she said she'd ordered some yarn and wanted me to make a hooded scarf, so I did. Haha. But since I have school and barely any free time now, it took me about four days longer than expected, which kind of bummed me out.

Just a little edit: It took exactly 3 skeins of Bernat Softee Chunky on US 10's to make this with pom-poms and pockets.

The yarn's Bernat Softee

The yarn's Bernat Softee Chunky. I wouldn't mind making another one with a celtic knot pattern instead of the cables.
