Yes it is wool. It is some Shetland ewe neck wool I coveted some time ago. Each single is approximately 6 fibres spun woolen on my castle wheel. I was attempting to spin for the Australian Bosworth 2010 competition but I do not think I will have the patience or the lifetime left to break the world record of a longest thread spun and plied to weigh only 10 grams. The record is currently held by Naoko Tamura of Japan for 1468.61m on a hand spindle.
