Here are a couple of more FO's. I'm starting to feel uneasy, because if my UFO pile gets any smaller I'm afraid I might get kicked out of the club! (",)
First up are some open-fingered gloves so I can perfect my Jersey Shore fist pump even in winter. They were made from one skein of RH Heart & Sole and are 80/20 Wool/Nylon. The colorway is Toasted Almond. I used the pattern from "The Knitting Man(ual)" called Go Anywhere Gloves. The only modification I did was not do the twisted rib or stockinette. This yarn's hardy and didn't need it. I've also knitted the pattern as written with Knit Picks Felici as their sock wool is very soft and needed the structure and wearability of the extra stitches. I used US 2 bamboo DPN's. I LOVE the pattern and LOVE the book, but figured out I can't knit with these on, so I'm saving these for when I'm not knitting and making another pair completely fingerless.
The second was INTENDED for Mommy Dearest, but is now mine. See, this is one of the first things I made her and it took her 3 years of not wearing it to tell me she wasn't a hat person....yeah....3. So, when I was over at her house the other night I saved the beret from her closet. I'll probably gift it to a friend. It was crocheted with a G hook and LB wool ease in eggplant. M.D. is now on my SHKNITLIST! (teach her to use the wire hangers dammit..."Now whose got the plastic hip MOMMA!?!)
