My apologies...

I don't want to wear out my welcome with yet another hat, but I am posting the patterns on Ravellry (which I can barely comprehend, unlike our easy-to-get little home here), and for some reason I have to post my patterns on another website or they get verklemp. So to do this I have to impose on you folks. Again, perdona me.

Such generous sharing of

Such generous sharing of patterns and photos is most appreciated. Keep up the good work, Albert. Wish I had a 10 hour ferry ride to knit during. What a delightful mini-vacation that would be! -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Albert, please don't

Albert, please don't apologize! I don't think anyone here feels like you're wearing out your welcome. On the contrary, I believe your original and colorful hats (and patterns!) are very welcome here indeed :) Please do continue to knit and post often!

Albert, A good friend of

Albert,

A good friend of mine loves to knit hats too! She always has one or three on the needles. She just finished an interesting scrunchie hat. I'll have to look at the patter n some time to see if it is something I can handle. Anyhow, your posts remind me of a book I just ordered this weekend as a late birthday gift for my friend. Its called Hattitude: Knits for Every Mood by Cathy Carron. I think she will love it! Keep posting! I know I'll do some hats myself someday soon!

Albert, you must know we love your hats. After all, they're great to look at, they are free patterns for us to gobble up, and they make for easy reads. But really you must stop. We can't take much more of this goodness. This is it. Stop. Now.

Don't stop.

Hi Ron,

It was inspired by my memories of crossing the Bay of Fundy on the old Scotia Prince from Portland to Yarmouth N.S.

Wow, Albert. I checked out

Wow, Albert. I checked out Portland, Maine and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on Google Earth. It’s over a 200 mile trip! Then I googled the Scotia Prince. It’s huge! It looks like a cruise ship. The Wikipedia article said the Scotia Prince crossed the “Gulf of Maine”. I wonder what’s up with that. Do Americans call it the “Gulf of Maine” and the Canadians call it the “Bay of Fundy”? Bet you could get a fair piece of knitting done on a trip like that. And no one to stop you from bringing knitting implements on board either. Sounds pretty fab. (How long did the trip take?)

As I recall, it took about

As I recall, it took about ten hours. I believe "Gulf of Maine" and "Bay of Fundy" are used interchangeably, but I am no nautical authority!

Albert, do you moonlight at a Malaysian sweat shop?? I love your hats! Keep them coming! I love the colors in this one, and thanks again for the pattern.
