Two At Once Fiasco

jdkcubed's picture

OK OK. So I decided to adapt a knit picks two at once sock pattern into a felted boot pattern with DISASTROUS RESULTS THUS FAR.

http://www.ravelry.com/projects/jdkcubed/two-at-once-toe-up-socks

There is the ravelry link for the project with my notes about it. but so far I hate these they look stupid, like giant mittens or something else. . . . .

Anyway may frog these and use the yarn for beer cozy's, felted boots for real, fingerless gloves even. .

I agree with Fred- this

I agree with Fred- this could be a good opportunity to allow serendipity to operate; you may end up with something new and wonderful!

YOU have got a GREAT sense

YOU have got a GREAT sense of humour!!!!! Love the pic!

But other than that, the look like normal socks to me. In your ravelry blog you mentioned that the toes were coming out pointy; could you make lemonade out of those lemons by making them pointy-er, and curved over, like Turkish slippers? maybe sticking the toe caston-end back on a set of needles and knitting the other direction to add a little more point?

Just brainstorming...Can't wait to see the colours you come up with for the real dying and knitting!
