Hey guys, just wanted to share some pictures of my latest finished
I'm really happy with the way it turned out and found the pattern was easy to follow. I did get a bit stressed when it came to sewing the parts together as this was my first sweater I have knitted on straight needles, but all worked out well in the end.
I have attatched some pictures for you.
I have been working on this pattern for about two years. It is a one skein Bear. I used Pioneer, Lambs Pride Worsted, Cascade, and Rowan Tweed DK. I had the help from four of my friends to make it the way I wanted. They were the test knitters and gave me the feedback as to how to make the bear in the round and with different attributes than the patterns I have seen.
I have the first draft of the article written. I have enough photos now and they look great. Thanks!
Does anyone from the retreat have a group picture? I'd love to put that at the end.
There are two spinning groups in the city, one in the north and one in the south. But many women go to both of them. I always enjoy going to these, but can't always get away from work to get to them. They run from September to June. At the June meeting, it is tradition for us to do something different, and to go out somewhere.
I've deleted my post on the problem I was having with two patterns. Someone decided to elevate their ego by making me feel stupid. I have since ripped apart BOTH sweaters and am using the yarn to crochet potholders. I guess that teaches me NOT to ask for help on here.
I have a friend who is in Kansas and she and her husband have a small little herd of five alpacas. She says she has some of last and this year's sheering.
Hey people. Not posted anything in a long time, and wanted to say hi to all my fellow knitters here in the UK and accross the pond!!
Just wanted to share a quick project I completed for a baby shower. I'm sure the mommy to be will love these. I used this great blue sky alpaca/silk yarn and some silky merino. I know it's not a yarn usually used for babies but it was so soft and lovely I just had to use it.
