It has been a while since I posted any completed projects.
I am looking forward to visiting the STITCHES Midwest Knitting conference.
Anyone else in my neck of the woods going? I am happily only about 5 miles
away. I think the prices of the lessons are way too steep, but I still want
to go to perhaps pick up some yarn or other things that may catch my

Quite some time ago I posted about how I had gotten interested in spinning fiber on a drop spindle. Since then I have acquired a few spindles, mostly Turkish, and have gotten in a fair amount of practice.
I had to do the neck to finish this and accomplished that this morning. Little Ben will be two in January. I used a pattern that I made up myself that is roughly based on EZ's percentage system. DK acrylic (that I bought here in Mexico) and 4mm needles.
Just finished up three pairs of socks that I will give to my brother and sisters for their birthdays. I lost the label for the sock on the left, the middle one is Opal, and the one on the right is Zauberball. I used my mother's recipe with 2.25mm needles.
As many of you know, I writing a knitting blog for the site StitchandUnwind.com. They asked me to write an article about the Rocky Mountain Knitting Retreat. It went live today, so I thought I would share it with you. Thanks to all who helped me with photos.
