I bought my first digital camera with my christmas booty and here is some lovely stuff I've been spinning. It's from a company called Three Bags Full. Color is Lapis Lazuli. Fiber is Merino, rambouillet, with some tussah silk and white tencel.
I'm hoping this works and is the right size and not one of those big pictures. We'll see.
Morning out there,
Our work has taken on a service project this year and we are working with the local senior center. Two employees each adopted a senior and we are going to visit today. I, of course, couldn't resist digging into my scarf stash and finding the right one to give a way.
So many options for charitable knitting.
I just got back from a meeting in Houston. I was in the room with about 30 people from across the country and our focus was on the outcome measurements of homeless programs. I pulled out the sock I was working and started knitting. It is always fun to see and hear the responses. It certainly helps me, an introvert, to come to engage in some conversations of some sort. It's also interesting to watch who is curious and who won't have anything to do with me. How fascinating.
I love it.
Just joined the site this week. Excited to be here. I'm actually a spinner. Sorry. That's my first love, but found after doing that for the last two years that I needed to learn how to knit the fabulous fiber I've been spinning. Been knitting mostly socks. The largest project I've done is a vest for myself. However, I find that socks allow me to feel that sense of accomplishment faster. Anyhow. Hello. More to come.
